PassOne Way Roadway
Where: At intersections where a one-way road joins another road. May also appear at the start of one-way streets or at junctions where traffic is permitted to flow in only one direction.
Purpose: To inform drivers that the road ahead or turning from the intersection is a one-way carriageway. It indicates the direction of permitted traffic — left, right, or straight ahead — ensuring that vehicles travel safely and in the correct direction.
Action Required by Driver: Proceed only in the direction indicated by the arrow if you intend to enter that one-way road, and do not attempt to travel in the opposite direction, as this could lead to collisions with oncoming traffic.
- Stay alert — watch for other vehicles entering the one-way road from different directions, and signal your intended turn in advance to inform other road users.
- Choose an alternative — if you do not wish to enter the one-way carriageway, choose an alternative route that allows travel in your desired direction.
